Fort Caswell Historic District National Register of Historic Places Nomination, Brunswick County, NOrth Carolina

Prepared a nomination for the historic fortification complex established in the early nineteenth century to protect the southeast coast from foreign threats. The campus expanded to include concrete batteries, government-built housing, and support buildings and now covers more than 700 acres at the confluence of the Atlantic Ocean and the Cape Fear River.

Death and Taxes/H. J. Brown Coffin House Historic Landmark Application, Raleigh, NC

H. J. Brown Coffin House began in 1836 and built a grand Romanesque Revival-style headquarters in downtown Raleigh around 1907. In 2012, inappropriate exterior cladding was removed and the building restored and converted to use as a restaurant.
